Camp Kitchen Attendant (Remote Mining Camp) — Winnemucca, NV
We are seeking a reliable Camp Kitchen Attendant for rotational, site-based work at a remote mining camp site in the Winnemucca, NV region. Our camp operates at approximately 150 occupancy.

Basics
- Support daily camp kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen areas
- Perform dishwashing, cleaning, and dish room organization to support meal service
- Assist with cold food preparation, including:
- Chopping and prep of vegetables
- Preparing salads
- Assembling sandwiches to menu and portion standards
- Assist with restocking stations and maintaining organized storage areas
- Help with labeling, storage, and rotation support (FIFO) as directed by the kitchen lead
- Assist with waste management and ensuring waste is handled properly
- Follow all Matrix procedures and support a team-first, safety-first work environment
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow detailed cleaning/food safety routines
- Kitchen experience preferred (cold prep experience is a plus)
- Food Safety / Food Handler certificate (required)
- First Aid / Advanced First Aid certification (required)
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, cleanliness, and teamwork
- Ability to work rotational schedules in remote conditions
Mine Site Safety & Compliance (MSHA / Nevada)
- MSHA certification is required
- Must comply with all applicable mine safety and health requirements, including MSHA regulations (30 CFR) and site-specific safety orientation/training
- PPE and site rules are required (specific PPE listed by the site upon onboarding)
- Reference and criminal record checks will be conducted
- Some sites may require pre-access drug screening and/or fitness-for-duty clearance
Preference
Preference will be given to local candidates (and candidates with proximity) in the Winnemucca, NV region.
Employment Eligibility
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Matrix will comply with all applicable U.S. employment verification requirements (I-9).
Job Details
- Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal (Rotational)
- Rotation: 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off
