Tamatta Mining & Construction is hiring for one of our esteemed clients: Camp Cleaner 

Job Requirements: We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Cleaner to join our remote camp team located west of Churchill Falls, NL. You are a collaborative team player, highly self-motivated, with a keen eye for accuracy and exceptional time management. In this pivotal role, you will uphold cleanliness and safety standards in a remote exploration camp environment. This position reports to the Camp Manager. 

Position is open to local residents within driving distance of Churchill Falls, NL.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with Safe Work Practices and Safe Job Procedures.
  • Report any incidents or accidents immediately following established protocols.
  • Maintain exemplary housekeeping in all areas of the camp at all times.
  • Participate in daily toolbox talks and reinforce a culture of safety.
  • Clean and sanitize all surfaces, equipment, and small wares in accordance with the Food Safety Plan.
  • Wash, launder, and replace bed linens as required.
  • Clean and sanitize dry storage areas and other workspaces.
  • Maintain and clean common areas (TV room, dining room, laundry rooms, washrooms, and other shared spaces).
  • Adhere to daily cleanliness schedules and quality standards; help identify and address hygiene or sanitation improvements.

Required Knowledge & Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years/seasons of experience as a Cleaner in a remote camp environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • OFA Level 1 certification is preferred but not required.
  • Highly motivated, team-oriented, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a rotational schedule (3 weeks on / 3 weeks off; 12-hour shifts).
  • Physical capability to lift at least 25 pounds safely; ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform demanding physical labor.
  • Demonstrated stamina to maintain a high level of performance over 12-hour shifts.
